Finally, we’re in September! The temperature in Dubai is already fluctuating between a comfortable 30 degrees Celsius and pool-friendly 40 °C. If you’re looking to move to a new home to relish the gorgeous weather we’ve got ahead, we bring you a short overview of popular areas of Dubai with great swimming pools – everyone’s favourite amenity.
Let’s start with the apartment communities first.
THE GREENS & VIEWS
The residential buildings in The Greens & Views have a large number of community pools scattered around so that each resident can take a dip within five minutes from leaving the apartment. You can do laps in the pool, or simply cool down and relax in the warm summer breeze while reading a book or watching your kids splash.
A special shout out from Bayut goes to the three high-rise towers, the Fairways at The Views, which offer picture-perfect infinity pools overlooking the super green Emirates Golf Club.
DUBAI MARINA / JBR
Yes, the famous Dubai Marina is top of the crop in the pool department as well. While most residential buildings feature pools of all shapes and sizes, the real advantage of living in the Marina is proximity to some of the finest hotel pools and plunge baths in Dubai.
The Address Dubai Marina Hotel has some stunning views of the skyline, while the Westin at Dubai Mena Seyahi is long, curvy, lagoon-like and ending in an open bar. The pools at Le Royal Meridien (pictured) and Doubletree by Hilton are also gorgeous.
The only mixed development on our list, The Palm, is a real magnet for pool lovers. Take the pool at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray as an example. It is an infinity pool in tropical-like surroundings complete with a butler! And at the Anantara, there is a lagoon-like pool with its very own shallow beach. If that’s not tempting enough for you, a Thai boat that floats around bringing fruit and nibbles to the bathers.
Downtown Dubai has a lot of unique selling points, but not many people know that it abounds special swimming pools as well. For example, the pool on the 76th floor of Burj Khalifa is the second highest in the world. (The number spot is taken by the pool on the 118th floor of a Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Hong Kong).
Then there’s the pool at The Address Downtown Dubai, which has five levels and a birds-eye view of the Burj. Elsewhere, stunning pools in The Palace, the Cabana and Ramada Downtown also await your visit. But, most importantly, individual sub-communities in Downtown Dubai feature fine community pools themselves.
Let’s look at the price breakdowns for the popular apartment areas of Dubai with great pools.
SPRINGS, LAKES & MEADOWS
Even if you’re brand-new to Dubai, you must have heard about these three similar and close-together neighbourhoods. Why is that? Because they comprise multiple gated communities with highly practical and aesthetically pleasing two to six-bedroom villas – all on the affordable side of the spectrum.
Most villas in these areas are either a short walk from the fully-equipped and safeguarded community pools, or feature small lagoon-like facilities of their own.
Another one of the popular areas of Dubai with great swimming pools, although slightly more expensive, is Arabian Ranches. Each section of Arabian Ranches features a community swimming pool, as well as a shaded paddling pool area for the little ones.
There are also properties in sub-areas such as Hattan (pictured) or Terranova that offer private lap pools (and gorgeous ones at that), albeit at a higher cost.

BONUS AREA: EMIRATES HILLS
One last area we mustn’t forget about also abounds state-of-the-art villas, Jacuzzis and swimming pools. In fact, Emirates Hills is often called ‘The Beverly Hills of Dubai’ due to its concept and aesthetics resembling Beverly Hill in LA, which is famous for its poolside living.
The pools in this high-end neighbourhood often come hand in hand with a Jacuzzi, a landscaped garden and even beautiful pergolas to give your private pool some much-needed shade. It’s as Californian as Dubai gets! Unfortunately, the cost of buying or renting property in Emirates Hills is way above the Dubai standard.
